She has a displaced placenta. She will have to stay there for two days at least or if she can`t be moved stay longer. Her Husband checked his E111 only to find that if you are more than 32 weeks they don`t pay. So as well as the worry about his baby his is unsure about payment. Any advice that anyone has would be very grateful...Many ThanksRonni
Teamedup
Had they taken holiday insurance, although I'm not sure if they cover for the later stages of pregnancy either? If they weren't insured, then I feel sure that they will have to pay their bill. I just hope that she and her baby are OK. I can't really see it costing that much for a couple of days. It seems that due to a European agreement they will only have to pay a small amount.Thank you for your concern.RonniIf by any chance the baby is born prematurely, they will have to stay in france for two months!!!But they will deal with that if it happens!! Teamedup
Pleased to hear it. I think as soon as she dares she should be heading for home. A couple of days should never cost much, but a couple of months could end up costing a lot one way or another.
Jon 1
Happy to hear that all is OK.However, I read through the booklet 'Health Advice for Travellers' which the E111 is attached to and I could find no mention of any exclusions at all for pregnancy.Purely out of academic interest I am curious to know where this is stated. When I speak to them I will ask and let you know.RegardsRonni
