Colandhelinfrance
Hi, I wonder if anybody has had any problems concerning the water pressure in France. I am talking about taking a washing machine or dishwasher from the UK and using it in France.I understand that the pressure is greater than in the UK, but is the equipment for sale in the UK able to cope with this extra pressure? If we were buying new equipment, we would buy it in France, but we have both a nearly new dishwasher & washing machine. Teamedup
We usually have pressure reduction valves........... don't we? I know that we had to buy some such thing when we first moved into this house years ago. Is that no longer the case?We brought our english washer over with no problems. Maddie
I think a lot of UK appliances will have on them somewhere or in the handbook the min and max bar they will operate under. Our Dyson washing machine did. I have not had to change any of mine nor buy pressure reduction valves or anything. If youa re worried check the appliance/manufacturer and then perhaps get a "tame" plumber to check the pressure at your house. I would have thought you would be okay. Worth checking though if you are able to.
