Lynn Kitson
We have had our house in France since last April, we had an initial water bill for connection etc sent to house in England which we paid, we have not had another one since then. When should we expect one or should we request a new one?

opas
Lynnk, have you informed them that you are now resident in france, as your bill could end up at your UK address , find out your last bill and call in at the office to clarify the situation. Maddie
These water cos are a law unto themselves! We went to their office and gave them an RIB and our details but still they sent the bill to the previous owners. Now we've just had a huge debit on the RIB for water charges with no sign of a bill! I feel a trip to their office coming on (once it's stopped snowing!)
Jsey
You have probably 3 half yearly bills plus one for consumption floating around somewhere, very likely in the UK if you haven't informed them you are now residents.
Alane
Our company changed the months that it issued bills from June and December to April and October, no warning and the bills arrived so late that the prelevement was due to be taken within days of receipt of the bill. The first time it happened I had to resort to sending cash through the post to our bank to avoid the possibility of going overdrawn. As it happened there was no trouble with sending cash, if a bit risky, and the company was then late in taking the debit.Best RegardsAlan.
Paris
We get standing charge bill at the end of April, they read the meter in July and we are billed for consumption early in September. This has been the pattern for the past 12 years on the Creuse/Haute Vienne border for a 2nd home. Why not either call at your water company office, or give then a call if you are anxious? They are probablyunlikely to forget you...
