Calva
Has anyone any experience of the car park near to the ferry terminal in Portsmouth?? My friends are coming over to visit soon as foot passengers and plan to leave their car there for a few days. They wonder whethera) there is much likelihood of the car park being full up when they turn upandb) if they have to go to the overflow carpark - is there CCTV there tooThey just need to be as sure as they can that the car will be there when they return!! so if anyone could help then it would be much appreciated. They have tried to phone and ask but very little info was forthcoming!!Many thanks
Chrisb
My husband used this car park weekly for 6 months last year and it was never full, nor did he have any problems with vandalism or theft - other than the £6.50 daily charge, although he did negotiate a discount, being a frequent user! Payment is by cash or card through a machine and there is an attendant on duty 24/7.Hope this is of some useRegardsChris
Nick Trollope
Our daughter has done it a few times. Never had problems finding a prking space. Not overly cheap (for a couple of weeks, it may be cheaper to put the car on the ferry).Bloke in the kiosk has a car starter for when idiot girl drivers leave their headlights on for a week.....Never had to use overflow, so can't comment. I doubt if your car is at any greater risk in this park than any other. Pompey isn't too bad crime-wise. The only real security solution is to leave the car in your garage & take the train.
