SaligoBay
Five years today since we landed in la belle France on a new adventure. It feels kind of like New Year's Eve, time for a new start and all that. So, a big CUL SEC to the next five years, and may they NOT be like the last five! And, of course, a huge thank-you to all those who have been good to me and put up with me when I've sent out my little distress signals. Onwards and upwards. Miki
Bon courage et Bon continuation SB, After more 10 years of living here, I reckon you will have it all sussed and probably by then have found work as an Agent Commerciale (think of the lolly !) or even an Hôtesse d'Acceuil, where you can be as rude as you like and no one will even notice. Here's to the next 5 années, chin, chin ! On 1 Avril it has been three years for us, one year in our 'new' place, ten years since we first came to Bretagne for my wife's 50th, her BIG 60 on the 15th and my 125th (or so it feels) on the 19th.We treated ourselves to a suite for four days here: http://www.chateaudechissay.com/frameuk.htmThe top windows in the left hand turret was our sitting room and the two windows to the right was the bedroom with a marble fireplace. It was absolutely perfect in every way from the chateau itself, the excellent food and staff who went out of their way to assist me with the wheelchair. We had a candlelight dinner served in the room for our birthday celebration. Fantastique!
Coco
Springtime is obviously the time for new beginnings - we arrived in France permanently two years ago last Sunday (27th) and so far, so good.I know what a tough time you've had SB and as that bloke in Downing Street says "things can only get better" so good luck to you for a brighter future. As for a celebratory month Ray, we're a bit like you, wedding anniversary 20th March, husband's birthday next Thursday and mine on the 29th. Don't know how we'll fit the B&B guests in between the hangovers
