Has Miki surfaced yet after no doubt celebrating long into the night?

Well done to the West London team for breaking the duopoly of Man. Utd and arsenal, that was becoming the norm for Premiership winners. We don't want our league turning into the equivalent of the SPL.

Now if only we can find a billionaire to invest in Aston Villa!

Miki started a thread on this last night - we had just got to the point of betting which would come higher next year, Chelsea or Sunderland (duh) and we were about to bet a quantity of London Pride against Vaux Double Maxim. Then it disappeared. Anyone know what happened?

It's all in the Sports thread.

I am just about fit anough to post at the moment. I have had to pick up emails as business "goes on" but one friend turned up 2 days early and we have been out with some others to Saint Malo today where it has been bathed in glorious sunshine all day and we spent some of the time listening to a good Irish band.

Oh happy days......Chelsea rightful champions and a lovely afternoon spent listening to some Van Morrison and some Pogues stuff !!

We have gone right back to Greavesy, Tambling, Bridges and Co and thought that perhaps Osgood and Greavesy would get in todays team but got too heavily involved in all things to do with Chelsea to go too deeply and have decided to wait for Nick to arrive on Tuesday (reports say he is nearly back from Bolton and less than a couple of days away now !!) until we look at the old sides and see just who might get in the side now.

Or as was said about Beckham "Is he as good as Besty"? "Oh yes but then Besty is 57 now" Hard to judge then and now, isn't it ?

Talk now is of a new full back, a new midfielder and a forward capable of 20 plus goals a tear......100 million should do it Roman !!!

outie, when Utd are at the Bridge the singing goes " You only live around the corner, You only live around the corner....."

Doesn't seem like many Utd supporters actually live in Manchester these days

How come when football is mentioned someone has a go at Man Utd, especially about the many fans that live outside Manchester, never understood that one.

Good for their supporters that Chelsea have won but I feel that Chelsea are not a football team but a firm or company if you know what i mean, doesn't feel like a football team to me, still, more competition means better football for the spectator but you wont beat the football Man Utd played in and around 99.

yes well and Miki supports Chelsea and he doesn`t live in the same country 

        from our kid the younger brother here goes

        blue is the colour football is the game ....

             sorry thats all I can rem he drove us mad singing it when we where kids

Because it is true, just remember what Roy Keane said, the supporters at Utd come from a million miles away and now eat smoke salmon and prawn sandwiches and not chip butties

As far as 99 goes, how you going to prove that ? If I said no, you will now have the impossible job of trying to convince us all and as I said before about players past and present, how do you do that ?

And what other club would keep a manager that has only won one Champions Cup (and with a huge slice of luck at that !!) with all the resources Ferguson has had at his disposal for many years. Not one other club in Europe would see Ferguson as a success. Success at this high level, is just as much about winning the European Champions Cup and Fergies record is abysmal........

So it was alright when Arsenal & Man Utd held all the aces financially but now we do, we are not a club but a firm or company !! Get outa here...

Am I seeing things, or is Glazier not proving what the top clubs are all about, all clubs are businesses today and that is why he wants Utd. At least our Russian prince is football mad, not sure about Glazier or even whether or not he even knows what Football is all about !

It feels like football to me though...........

What a race Fallon rode in the UK 2000 Guineas, I never had a bet and after seeing Frankies mount before the race, I really thought it was a foregone conclusion !! So I was lucky not to have gone on looks !!

No he doesn't but I am a lifelong supporter and served my time, so that gives me rights to now live abroad as I have done my bit and have an official CFC pass to live in France !

I'm keeping pretty quiet about the Villa after yesterdays drubbing. Can we borrow a few of Chelsea's reserves next year Miki, but not Carlton Cole, he's proved to be next to useless.

Dick can you remember a goalkeeper called Richard "Dickie" Teale who was at Carshalton I think he also managed them for a while ? Ex QPR goalie in the same era as Phil Parkes. Old friend and a gentle giant.(until narked that is !!!)

Lennon, you can keep Cole, he will improve. I will ring Roman and see what he can do !! Whatever happened yesterday, blimey, it looked like every time they attacked Spurs would score !! End of season nothing much on it type of game ?

Cograts, Miki. Chelsea thoroughly deserved to win the title and best of all the backbone of their team is English - Messrs Terry and Lampard. My team, Ipswich, look to have left it too late, but we'll see. We need Wigan to lose at home to Reading this weekend, not an impossibility, but we also have to win at struggling Brighton!

As for Man Utd, they lost it in the first couple of months, but I wouldn't write them off for next season.

I sincerely hope Chelsea win the Champions League semi-final as I can't see Liverpool beating AC Milan.

Yes, the Arts Club and what's that wonderful medicinal garden that I remember visiting as a child?  It was across the road and then down a bit from that ugly great stadium place... 

Miki: thank you for pointing out who the hunk was.  Certainly my idea of a man, that's for sure.  I guess as a manager we never get to see him shorts?  What a shame. 

Incidentally, no one congratulating Strasbourg on their recent success too?  And how have PSG done this season?  What a great sounding club name.  Paris St Germain, it's so chic and sophisticated.  With a name like that you just know they're going to have fabulous looking players.  So different to Sheffield Wednesday or Doncaster Rovers or, surely the worst, Millwall? :

Margaret, take another fresh look at the "ugly stadium", it has turned in to a big beautiful Swan

The problem with French football for the most part these days, is that the majority of their good players are now playing abroad and although I have been to watch Rennes on occasion, some matches can be quite dire, not all though.

The are in 7th place.

But terrible supporters, they are, along with Marseilles the fans that gives the most problems at games.

Strasbourg won the French league cup against Caen this weekend and how many knew that, apart from you M and possibly a few LF members from the Normandy area !!

Agree with Tresco, got to wish them all the best, it won't be easy to keep 10 men behind the ball in the final and hope to win on penalties but I do hope that Liverpool will beat the winner of tonights game.

Oh, I think I get it, are you saying you wanted Liverpool to beat Chelsea, and now you want AC Milan (did they win?) to beat the you know whats. OH COME ON outcast, as a north wester,  you cannot be serious, can you........ ?????????

Don't worry, I am 'just a bird and.......' .....TOH is still running, I need him back though, because I need a laugh, and he supports Tranmere, so nearly famous, so nearly part of the Evil Scouse Empire Roll on next season.
