0Freddie61ddMMyyyy0Falseen-USTrue
Has anyone had any dealings with this organisation who operate in the Lot and Garonne? I found one of their ads, was interested but when I asked, by email, for details such as their address etc, they quickly clammed up. Not the best way to attract clients one thinks. Seems a bit sussy but I stand to be corrected.
Tonyf
Hi FreddieIt is becoming common that many agencies will ask for a potential clients full name and adress and a telephone number before booking an appointment. I think this is understandable because I am sure there are timewasters or no-showers.However, for me, the alarm bells start ringing if an agent has omitted to disclose their address, or home/office telephone number on their web site. If I were to request the information and be refused, I would run a mile. Is this what you are saying Hunters Club did???
LynneG
You are right Tony. House Hunters (sic) should always make sure that the people you are dealing with are actually legit. Asking for a name, office address (in France!) and a fixed telephone number (not a mobile) is not an unreasonable request.I think we have also mentioned here recently the need to establish what fees are involved, particularly through Uk based agents. Do not be afraid to ask for a copy of their set commissions and to ask whether the price is any different to that charged to a client walking through the door of the agency in France.
