Boiling a frog
We moved out from Glasgow to the Charente 3 years ago None of the removers advertising in magasines would even quote for us as they are only interested in england You will probably have to use a national coy like pickfords We used a friend of ours who has a 7.5 ton truck to bring our stuff out

Was your friend experienced in internatoinal removals or just a friend willing to have a go? Any other advice ,we intend to move in late September. Did you use a a Scottish based tax advisor or lawyer? Can you recommend anyone based here to assist us in our move. Boiling a frog
Hi He is a neighbour here in the Charente and a lorry driver not a removal man but all our stuff arrived safely at a fifth of the cost I could not find a single scottish lawyer who could give advice on french house purchase despite contacting the law society nor any taxation advisors I suspect because there are not that many of us scots moving to France If you are wanting any advice I can try and help if you want
Franchesco
Thanks again. We already have all the necessary professional contacts in Nice but would like to run it passed a Scots team. There are adds in the mags for English based advisors so if it comes to it we will use them. Anyway was it all worth it in the end and is the reality better than the dream, we cant wait.
