Basic Inheritance and tax rules

Sorry to be a bore.  Have looked in  the archives but can't find what I am looking for.  Could anyone give me a quick run down on the new inheritance laws relating to property.  Ours is new build, due for completion in October.  We have only ever been married to each other and have 2 children.  I imagine that we are pretty straightforward.  Would appreciate any information about inheritence and capital gains tax.  Also, if anyone knows of a good english speaking lawyer in the Bayeux, area who could set up a will we would be very grateful. I don't think that we would ever become totally resident in France but you never know.  It is our intention to spend about half the year uk and france.
