Sunday Times on a Sunday

Recommended Posts

For the first time ever I have been able to buy my ST on a Sunday.

You wouldn't have thought it would make any difference to the day it arrives as it is printed in Marseilles...

Shame that there is so little in it now I am going to cancel my order.

Still, it just needed the pub at lunchtime to make it a perfect Sunday

Yep, me too if I drove 55 miles into Toulouse so I make do with Monday morning (and pretend it's Sunday!)

Blooming disgrace about them chopping huge sections out and incorporating them into that rather feeble International Culture section.  I placed an advert in the Travel section for 2 weeks at nearly £100 per week, rushed out to buy my copy on MOnday monring only to find my ad (and some of my potential market) was nowhere to be seen!  When I phoned them in London to complain they had no idea! Still have the cheek to charge the same money though! (To be fair I'm not sure exactly what the circulation figures are outside the UK - if anyone knows off the top of their heads I'd be interested to hear.)

I used to spend about 3 hours every sunday, reading the newspaper front to back and back to front.  Over the years that equates to about 6 months solid reading.  Since moving to France 4 years ago I have read one or two second-hand sunday rags and for the life of me I can't see now why I wasted those 6 months.

I have to make do with the ParuVendu to light the fire in the winters now and as its only 2 sheets you have to have good kindling or else there goes the next 6 months.

I bought mine this morning and forgot to ask if it had arrived yesterday. I expect we'll continue to buy it, though there's less and less in it. There's a long article this week about the woes of France and Chirac's fall from grace. Pat.
