Christine Animal
When working outside with the animals we often wear rubber gloves, usually the throw away kind. But in this weather my fingers are frozen and I can't wear normal gloves as they get wet and mucky. I have tried in the past putting ordinary gloves under the rubber ones, but it's not very practical. We came down to Poitou-Charentes hoping for milder weather... but.Does anyone know of any gloves that may exist which are waterproof and warm? Many Thanks.
Gail Smith
In garden centres you can get some nice sturdy gardening gloves with warm fleecy linings. They will do the job although they can be quite expensive they will last well. Gail x
Christine Animal
Thank you Gail, I shall have a look. I know the rubber gardening gloves with a sort of thin jersey like lining, which are not very warm, but I hadn't seen the fleecy ones.I was just wondering if some company had brought out waterproof gloves with some revolutionary lining which is not so thick that you are warm, but can hardly do anything! Russethouse
Something that I sometimes try when I am looking for 'things' is put the name of the product in the google search with the word 'review' after it.For instance I recently bought a Sebo vacuum cleaner after reading the reviews (confirming what I had heard) Try it for the gloves Gardening Which recommended ! [:$][:$] Doh !! I think your solution is much better.....................
Patf
Have you tried shops that sell hiking/mountaineering gear? In my moreenergetic days we used to wear 2 pairs of gloves, one pair thin lightand warm and the top ones fleece lined and synthetic with a waterproofpanel on the palms. Pat.
