Carolski
Any one out there have any hard facts or information as to the implications of our French neighbour giving us as a 'cadeaux' a piece of his field in order to fit our new Fosse septic into(in order to comply with the new laws re waste etc). We would do it through the Notaires but it seems that it costs a lot to do this and would almost not seem worth it for this situation. C
Val_2
I'm forever telling english people this, in France you MUST get everything on paper if it is important and never ever by word of mouth, proof is everything and without it you are nothing in a court of law. This is decidedly dodgy and you should pay and get the land dealt with properly with papers to show ownership. Look at all the people onthis forum who have started out with "nice and friendly" neighbours and then a few months/years later are in a full blown conflict with them over some silly little thing that has gone wrong.
