Miki
Barry,When you registered your resto with the C de Com you should have received a list of which health people (and also retirement people)you wanted to join. Having made your choice, you will then receive your health cover through them. Find out who you have chosen and ring then and ask them where your C.V's are.In the meant time you should have received a "paper" cover note which will give you the same effect for health.Nice resto you have and in a lovely spot. We once lived near Brantome sometimes on the way back from Angouleme, we would visit the little resto at the foot of the Chateau in Villebois.Good luck. bizzer
Hi Mikithanks for that ... The resto isn't complete yet as it doesn't open until october so we haven't been able to register as we need to be trading within a month of registering hence I was unsure what happened but cheers and thanks for the lovely comments... The other little resto has closed now ... shameBarry
Miki
Barry,Did you not get ask for an E106 when you left the UK ?This would have given you up to two years cover for up to 70% remboursement or so, for your health cover. Once your resto was up and running though, you would simply go with your new assurer and have health cover from that source. Not too late but perhaps not worth it now. Time it finally arrives you will be trading anyway and if the food is as good on the table as it looks on your website, then you will off and running with a full resto and no time to be sick !!Bon courage (you will hear that many times in the next year or two !!)As you say "shame" about the other one closing !!
