Sunday Driver
Yes. Lille is their principal payment centre and processes all payments by TIP.

William_m
No, they just handle TIPs and cheques.
Hi,What exactly do you mean by 'TIP'? I'm from Holland, and we stopped using cheques ages ago here. I have the option to pay online, by credit card, but the code I was given doesn't work. I've tried to contact several authorities by e-mail and phone. Nobody speaks English and they won't respond to my e-mails (wich I translated in French actually). So this 'TIP' thing is my last option, if you can tell me what it stands for ;-)Thank you so much for your help! Quillan
I can't remember exactly what a TIP is an anagram for but basically they print it and its attached to your bill and contains your bank details which you should have already given them (if you have not then you need to send the a RIB which is your national and international bank account details). You sign the TIP and return it to them and they get the money from your account. To be honest cheques are very much still used in France and next time your over it might pay you to open a basic French account transfer money across then pay bills form that account. William_m
Thank you for your quick response! I appreciate it.I received a ticket for speeding and since the online payment thingy doesn't work, cheques are no longer used in this country, I've send them an e-mail in which I've asked for their bank account number and IBAN number so I can do it manually. Opening a bank account in France is not really an option hahaha. Thanks again for the info people!
William_m
Additional: there is no slip attached wich I can date or sign, just a slip wich has to be send along with the cheque. Well, I'll just wait for them to respond to my e-mail.
