tonshun
I'm not sure if this is the correct section for a postage question....I understand for many things in france (eg. cancelling insurance) a letter has to be sent "recommande avec avis de reception"Can anyone please explain exactly what this is? Is there an equivalent UK service that will help me understand it?Why is the 'avis de reception' needed when i would have thought that recommande with its proof of delivery (trackable online) would be sufficient.I ask because a simple one page letter sent via this method inside France is 3.04 recommande plus 1.30 for the avis = 4.34 euros which seems very expensive to me!! Deimos
And you need to keep the Avis de reception for a number of years as well (I have a feeling it's 5 but others might correct me on that).Ian
