TWINKLE
This is a link for a 'must see' video of Nicolas Sarkozy arriving for a press conference at the G8 summit. He was in a meeting with Vladimir Poutine prior to the appointment. He's late and he's very obviously drunk[:)]http://www.libe.fr/actualite/ecrans/260513.FR.php[:P]

Patf
Evidently he had just come from a meeting with Putin when he was hoping to make a deal over Kosovo - a new plan that Sarkozy had cooked up - and Putin said "Nyet". Pat.
TWINKLE
By the way the French haven't shown this footage[8-)] There was an article in Paris Match in August about Celcila Sarkozy and 'a friend' - needless to say the reporting journalist was swiftly sacked later. Sarko has a lot of friends in very high places. http://archquo.nouvelobs.com/cgi/articles?ad=people/20050825.OBS7439.html&host=http://permanent.nouvelobs.com/

[/quote]Well, I evidently don't work so well at night - the last major document I worked on, I finished at 05:30, thought I'd done a brilliant job, submitted it and then discovered that in an inadvertent twitch of the mouse I had deleted a crucial section. Such deletions are now called "mouse droppings" in this household.Pickles
