We have just sold in the UK and would like to consider maybe house sitting for a few months next year. Or even working maybe in a holiday property in exchange for living accommodation. My husband is very handy and we would be able to do any renovations/repairs whilst there. Nick Trollope Posted November 30, 2005 Share Posted November 30, 2005 Welcome to the forum.I don't wish to be a party pooper, but I suggest that you do a forum search regarding working in return for accomodation, or house sitting, which is illegal without registration.There are pleny of ex-pats offering house-sitting etc services, most of them (the ex-pats) legal!Your idea is sound (and sensible) however, much better to rent for a few months and discover France that way.
