Christine Animal
What an amazing woman, you can only admire her. After all she has been through, to have so much spirit, such courage, such a smile and thought and love for others.
Frenchie
Of course like everybody else I'm happy for her, but I suspect something is weird, like many French people I hear around me...How can you be like this after 7 years in the jungle.??? At Christmas they showed a pic where she appeared very skinny, and said she was going to die soon if not freed, ( hepathite ) and as soon as she is out, she talks for 9 hours, smiles, is so energetic, she travels back to France and arrives fresh as a rose... We all thought she would have been immediately transferred to a hospital for tests etc...Humm hummStrange.............AM I the only one to have this feeling here ? Frenchie
Hummm And also this amazing good health..Have they been released a while ago ? How can you possibly still be chained to a tree in an hostile jungle three hours before your speech, ill treated and humiliated, ( she claims it ) and appear fresh as a rose, smiling, and not even with a mosquitoe bite on her plumpy face ???From the very beginning I thought " ya quelque chose de louche là dessous " ... Frenchie
This is the kind of thing more and more French people say and also write on the netA quand la sortie du best seller "en pleine forme au JT après 7 ans comme otage et 60h quasi sans dormir ?" when is the best seller book going to be released " Fresh as a rose in the 8 o' clock news after 7 years as an hostage and about 60 hours without sleep " ???Indeed she said she would be starting a book this week end [blink]Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for her children and family. Clair
Excellent article about her in today's Sunday Times: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/europe/article4321326.eceShe hints at the dark memories of he ordeal, yet seems determined not to let them dictate who she wants to become:“There are things I’ve lived through which are very hard for me toget out. And when I was freed I told myself that I would never talk aboutthem because if I did it would be even more painful than living them. Thatway they will stay in my head, no one will know so I can forget them. Butonce they’re out I will be dirtied even more.”
Gemonimo
Perhaps without her faith she would not be so radiant, and perhaps somewhere along the line there willl be the 'contra coup'. What a remarkable woman.
