cost of electricity

if you more of less fit the bill below ... I'd be grateful if you would give me an idea of what your quarterly electricity bill is/

 

two people

small cottage

no central heating

dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier (not used when weather is fine)

standard EDF rate (no cheap hours)

 

I know there are many variables, but I just wanted a rough estimate.

Our all electric small house uses approx 1000 or so euros worth of electricity over a year (we have electric convector heaters for the winter). The summer 2 months bill (June/July) was 77 euros. The one before that (April/May) was 149 euros.

about €1200 a year (includes hot water, excludes cooker)  we also have a wood burner for winter evenings.

Lucky you ... we just have the (old, out of date) electric convectors in our rented house. I can only dream of a cosy wood burner to warm the winter evenings.
