Nick Trollope
Is this found in European statute, or is it just another urban myth?
Teamedup
We can vote in France, in local elections and european elections. So I don't think that we don't have some sort of representation. We also have the right to continue voting in the UK for 15 years I think it is now, hardly as if moving means being disenfranchised. Clarkkent
Is this found in European statute, or is it just another urban myth?
It was the rallying cry/justification (whatever) for the revolt known as the Boston Tea Party and hence the reason for the American War of Independence. andyh4
Urban Myth I am afraid Nick. I have been living and working and paying taxes in Germany for 10 years, yet cannot vote for the tax makers. I can vote in the local elections and in the European ones but not the national elections
Teamedup
andy4, you could have also been voting in the UK general elections during that time too.
