Kitty
How easy is it for teenagers to find a Saturday job in France? Is their a culture of teenagers working for money? My two daughters have been stagiaires (not sure of the spelling of that word) but would like work for payment. As they are at weekly boarding school, they can only work on Saturdays.(I have done a search before posting this but there seems to be nothing on the Forum about the subject.) Anton Redman
I sometimes go to BricoDepot Artigues on Saturdays between 12:00 and 14:00 it is the only time you can get through quickly. The tills are staffed by kids. Sorry I could not reply to your original post no buttons appeared.
Kitty
Thanks for that, Anton. I didn't realise that the employment thread did not permit replies. One of the mods must have moved the thread to another category (General Discussion).

Val_2
Supermarkets won't take anyone under 18.
Kitty
Supermarkets won't take anyone under 18.
Yes. I have found this. In fact, when you ask around, most people seem to say that you have to be 18. But I haven't found anyone saying that they accept Saturday workers, hence the thread.Grape pickers have to be 18 as well.

grandjean
My 17 year old daughter works Saturdays and holidays in a local cafe. She has an employment contract with the owner and can only work twenty hours per week. She is paid the minimum wage less the usual deductions. Kitty
Thanks one and all. Keep the suggestions coming in. My daughters are back from their weekly boarding schools this evening so we'll start hunting. One of the websites suggested house cleaning, which could be a good idea.
