Train strike on Friday

Urgent.  Is there a train strike on Friday (21st).  I'm getting mixed news. My daughter tells me that there is no train strike on Friday but my (French) neighbour says it is on.

I need to know because my daughter has to pack tonight to come home on Thursday afternoon  from her weekly boarding school if there is a strike.  Buses are arranged but they are often completely full.

Thank you Clair SOOOOO much.  I've sent a text to my daughter to pack her suitcase as if she is going to come home tomorrow afternoon and then will telephone the vie scolaire tomorrow to ask what to do.

I see that the strike is about cargo handling.  Whatever next....

From the (translated) APF report:

"The proposed changes include the amplitude of beaches and the rest, both for the drivers than for sedentary branch of the cargo."

Wonderful translation from the original French. ("plages de travail..."). What will the drivers be demanding next??

So the train drivers are off to the beach?  And I thought that they were on strike so they could do a bit of Christmas shopping.
