The group requires “of the suppression of the type “gipsy”” who exists in the police software baptized “Canonge”. He also proposes “the experimentation” during one year “on a department including rural area and urban area” of a device combining “ethno-racial classification and classification by chromatic range”.

That “does not correspond has any element of the provisional text of the report/ratio”, declared Mr. Bauer in a development in AFP.

“The question which was the subject of debates” in this group “relates to indeed the manner of characterizing a person: does one have to use the membership true or supposed at a ethno-racial origin or must one rather make use of a chromatic range? They are there two proposals for associations which were the majority rejection object of the group, in particular of the representatives of the State and trade unions of police force "", put forward Mr. Bauer.

According to Mr. Bauer, it “was simply discussed possibility of removing the existing ethno-racial types in particular to avoid any creation of a statistical tool based on these criteria concerning of the required people (authors, missing victims, absconders, etc)” and that so “respecting the positions of the Constitutional council, the Dump, the CNDH, etc”.

“It was noted that no viable and consensual technical solution appeared”, adds it, “except for the suppression of the type “gipsy” who does not correspond to any rational criterion”.

This subject, according to him, was put on of deliberated until Monday.

When hoomans do the same the child will be a blend, no patches.  Why is this?

I do not know what the fuss is about, the police in the UK have been using skin colour and ethnic origin codes for at least 20 years  to impute into the PNC (police national computer) and is one of the search facilities available .

On The Bill when you hear someone say that the person is an IC one it means white european

Nor I, and the more you try to apply 'politically correctness' to what is completely natural the more you emphasise and perpetuate the issue.

Black people are black

Chinese and Japanese people are (a bit) yellow, and for the most part do happen to have slitty eyes.

What's intrinsically wrong with saying any of that so long as it's not said with malicious intent ?

If everybody was to STFU about it it would barely merit a mention.

  As far as the UK is concerned ....there are 16 ethnic codes  to choose from depending where you hail from and what shade you are or the slant of your eyes ....dont ask me to list them  .I cant remember what as Eskimo is anyway ! ...... Whats wrong with it ?  ...we are all different on this planet after all ....

when apartheid stated in south Africa, my husband's family were split into 3 parts - some white, some Malay coloureds, and some black - depending on how dark their particular mix turned out - NOT FUNNY- as they were not supposed to live together anymore. They were a mix of Boer, black African, British and Egyptian. OH's parents came over to the UK to escape the horror of it all.

I know what you mean Odile having sat on a bench for "Whites " waiting for a bus talking to the black guy sitting on his bench next to me ....crazy !...but these codes in the computer age we live in are just used to cut down on the stuff  you have to input to describe us all in our mixed society...
