Janb
I have found a 12th century property in a hameau the Var which is a'co-propriete'. Does anyone have any experience of buying a propertythat is part of this legal structure? Jan
Miki
We had an appartment in Manosque (04) Apes de Haute Provence (next deptto the Var) which was co-propriete, since sold. The buying andsubsequent resale was pretty much the same as a house sale. One is liable for a percentage of the annual running costs, basedusually on the size of ones place in relation to the overall size ofthe co-proprite. Not sure how the hameau co propriete works, unless it was a place that was "restored" by someone who then sold offthe "pieces" to other owners, keeping it as a co-proprite with rules& regs etc.Hopefully someone else may know more or why not ask a notaire to look at the regs before deciding ?
