The Carla Bruni-Sarkozy documentary

I found the Carla Bruni Documentary screened on France 2 late on thursday evening quite delightful and then a double whammy she pops into TF1 on Friday night to sing her latest hit on Les Disques d'Or.

A real smart bird IMHO.[;-)]

I feel this almost irresistible desire to watch TV this afternoon after a late lunch.[kiss]

What is it with Carla?  OH positively dools when she comes on the TV.

Me, whilst I think she's OK-looking, I'm not convinced she is drop dead gorgeous though I do admire her linguistic skills.

I would love to sample them...

Frenchie, you wouldn't believe this, but I spent one summer teaching Italian teenagers (English Summer School) and our Head of Study looked exactly like Mr Clooney.

You should have seen the girls swoon everytime Peter so much as said "Good Morning" to them.

It was great because they'd do anything he told them to but not so good if they were naughty and you threatened to send them to see the "Capo"!

Then, from right under all our eyes, (teachers included), an Australian hussy whipped him off and married him.

PS, if you're reading this by any chance, Fran, I didn't mean to call you that nasty name, honest.

The Aussie is welcome to him. I wouldn't even walk across the road to steal his coffee[6]!

I do like Carla though and I have one of her albums, "Quelqu'un m'a dit", on my Ipod. Makes me go all week at the kneez [:P] (that's a hanging tounge by the way!). I do like her voice and her personality!!

Edit :- I forgot to say... Very elegant too![:D]

See what I mean?  That's the Carla Effect on yet another man!

Anyone from the other side of the gender divide care to comment on Carla?

Come on, it's cold outside and dreary to boot and there's only so much soup- and cake-making you can do; so leave us a comment!

Must be a male/female thing...

I always feel she is waiting for me to light her up (I wish)

It's the inscrutable sensuousness.

Is she thinking of Nicolas here? I think not..

And I have re-found the 'Fernande' video

it is obviously nonsense for a woman to sing that particular song, but she makes it clear that she is singing it because it was banned:

she says on m'a déconseillé de chanter cette chanson.

I admire that rebel streak.

Then to chill you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVWeLM9Xybg
