MrCanary
If, like me, anybody goes on-line to buy an Archant Living France calendar for 2009, you will be charged £11.99.But in January's magazine, it clearly states the calendar is now half-price at £5.99. But the naughty old Archant system still happily took £11.99 off me on the 3rd January. It cost me a phone call and having to answer a few questions to secure a £6 refund which I will apparently get after 10 days.Just goes to show how careful you have to be of some companies who sell on-line! Will
You got your refund, so what's the problem? It's not unusual to have offers in magazines that are not available online or in shops. Nothing wrong with rewarding people for spending money on buying the magazine.
MrCanary
Will - I apparently will get my refund, thanks. The problem? I like to make sure things get changed rapidly. In my part of the world, Archant write news stories about people or organisations who make mistakes of this kind - even when it is a genuine mistake such as this undoubtedly is. But in at least one of their newspapers, they still run the stories. As such, people who live in glasshouses and all that...!
