Patf
A neighbour has applied for a C de U for some of his land to sell for alottissement - 6 to 8 houses. We are not so bothered about it exceptfor the fact that the access road will be behind our house, currently a3m chemin. However another neighbour behind us has heard that some ofher land and trees bordering the lane will have to be removed to widenthe lane for the access road. As there have been various rumours aboutall this, would the Maire have the power to do this? He is very keen tohave the lottissement and the commune would subsidise the cost of road, utilites etc, as I understand he said to me after we had decided not tojoin in the project, which he had invited us to do. Teamedup
It is my belief that the commune can more or less take a 1metre into ones land without any real legal problems. Any more than that and I would still think that they could compulsory purchase although people can kick up about that, as is what happened in our commune for access to a new ZA. The council did end up with the land in question though, it just took a little time.
