Pommier
I booked a 3 night half board break on line at a Logis International hotel in Brittany. It was a special discounted price of €216 instead of their normal price of €357 presumably because I was booking only a week ahead.Tonight, the day before our booking starts I received a phone call from a woman claiming to be the hotel manager (although she wouldn't give her name) saying there was an error and we could either pay full price or cancel the booking. She claimed it wasn't the hotel's error - at one point accusing me of altering the website! I asked her how come the site was still advertising the same rate for three night bookings, which she obviously couldn't answer. Eventually after the full half hour arguement she caved in and said we could after all have the booking at the original price.I've emailed Logis International to complain, but I'll be wary of this lot in future - dodgy dealing or what!!! mint
Pommier, I am sorry you have had such a bad experience. We've stayed at lots of Logis hotels and they are nearly always our first hotel of choice. Have also recommended them to friends and I have never heard of any complaints.Let's just hope it's a one-off.Must put you off though and make you wonder what your stay is going to be like. Anyway, I do hope that that is the end of the problems you have with your booking.
Pommier
I was totally astonished at the 'managers' attitude - there was no way I could cancel since she refused to give her name and cancelling at that point would have meant that we would be liable to a cancellation fee equal to the first nights stay.It will certainly spoil the break which we had been really looking forward to. NormanH
"It will certainly spoil the break which we had been really looking forward to."Why? As I read it you are getting your original deal. Be happy.
