EDF said the anonymous phone call was made at 0355 GMT. It said searches were ongoing at the station but the core areas of the plant had been secured. powerdesal Posted April 30, 2009 Share Posted April 30, 2009 Plant operations staff would remain in place to carry out a controlled shutdown if it was deemed necessary. It would not be normal to just walk out of an operating plant, certainly not a nuclear one. Non-essential staff would be the ones first evacuated.
