I'm pleased you posted that. We are coming over tonight for just over a week but although we'd thought about May Day we'd quite forgotten about VE Day. Thanks for the heads up.[B]

Bluebell
Beware of going out without a full petrol tank during these holidays. We were out in the Tournus area last night visiting friends, and on the way back we decided we didn't really have enough petrol to get home and drive another 10 miles to the petrol station next day. We thought there would be plenty of 24 hour petrol stations in Tournus; to us it's the big city. So we toured the area for half an hour, using even more precious petrol, until we retraced our journey, having remembered a petrol station close to where we set off. Then a worrying five minutes when the machine kept rejecting the bank card. Those friends of ours came THAT close to being woken up at midnight to take in a couple of lodgers!
