Frederick
Although 41 bodies have been recovered from the Air France aircraft that went down in the atlantic so far. It seems the Brasilian authorities have given a date next week after which they will stop searching ....Hard one this...when relatives see recovery of bodies happening and must want to see the search to go on I can see many will be upset ...I dont think France has any ships in the area so may have to just accept it ...or should France pay the Brasilians to carry on looking for longer ? Christine Animal
France has a submarine in the area. I imagined most of the plane would be at the bottom, with people still in it and was hoping the submarine would find it, but maybe that is not so. They only seem to be looking for 'les boîtes noires'.
Christine Animal
Apparently there are three French ships there.Outre "le sous-marin nucléaire français Emeraude arrivé mercredi dans la zone (...), trois autres navires français sont également sur place actuellement : la frégate Ventôse, le navire Mistral, et le navire de recherche Pourquoi pas".
