Âme
Hi Nectarine, the red are for France, blue are for the rest of Europe.

Babbles
The way I remember for stamps, is the blue ones go abroad by airmail like the blue airmail stickers (this might not always be technically true but it helps me remember !)
Kitty
There was a recent rise in postage costs. However, I was told that I can continue to use my old red and blue stamps (I bought in bulk unknowingly before the rise) and I did not need to pay for any extra stamps. I hope that this is right. Certainly, I have been using the old stamps and no one has complained.
CBC65
As the stamps don't show the cost/value on them they are always valid, irrespective of the price you paid for them. Always worth buying a couple of 'carnets' before the next price increase!!
nectarine
Thanks again and, Babbles, that was a really useful tip ... that the blue stamps are international and the same colour as the 'Air Mail' sticker that you put on. I shall not forget that now !!!
