Kaphoen
I've read lots of comments on various sites regarding the pros and cons of buying a compact tractor. My question relates to a supplier. I have been offered a machine at a good price by Compact Tractors & Machinery Ltd of Frome Somerset, but I don't know anything about this supplier. If any members has had dealings with this company, good, bad or indifferent, could they please send me a direct message? Thanks, ;)
dave21478
I cant help with the dealer, but my advice is to make sure that spares and technical backup are available in France for whatever model you choose. I have a Yanmar, and can get filters etc from my local agri spares place without problem. I have no idea about other stuff as I never looked into it before purchase and have not required any replacement parts yet. However I know someone who has a Kubota, on which the fuel pump diaphram failed. What should be an easy fix has turned into a real hassle as seemingly the specific model he has, which has a certain engine fitted was never sold in France, and may not have been sold anywher else in Europe either. It looks like spares will have to be ordered direct from the Far East. I assume this one was privately imported by a previous owner.
