applesdeux
Hello, I bought some used small vehicle parts on ebay and they're in the cityof Nice being stored with a kind local but he's very busy and needs thespace. I live in Australia and need to get the items boxed up in alarge box and then posted through France Poste back to me in Sydney. I'm trying to find someone who could help. They'd really need to live in Nice, have a car that could carry a large box and speak French forthe post office. I'm going to try and find a box supplier in Nice! I'd be happy to pay for their time and reimburse them for expenses. Please let me know if you know someone who might be able to help,ThanksStuart G. applesdeux
Ok, I give up as there'sobviously no-one living in Nice on this forum! Finally, Can anyonesuggest any other bright ideas as to how to contact someone who couldhelp in Nice? Are there any businesses or other persons in towns inFrance that might be able to offer help? I've emailed several Hotelsand transport companies (to try and locate a suitable person) in thearea but no response so far. Is there another forum I should be postingon? Obviously, these expat type forums aren't suitable for this type ofenquiry.PS I haven't used Fedex as the items are bulky, lightweight, and wouldnot justify forwarding by air and they need boxing which I don't thinkFedex would offer. Catalpa
Try the AngloInfo Riviera site.http://riviera.angloinfo.com/forum/forum.asp?FID=1001You may be genuine but you do sound just a bit "scammy" which may be why you're not getting any replies... though of course it may be that there are no CompleteFrance members on the Riviera. Buying something from an ebay seller who won't ship to Australia and storing them with a local person who won't do the packaging / posting for you does sound suspect. Deby
If I lived in Nice I would have helped you - this was in the days before extremism and Nigerian scams. Really sorry to say this, but gone are those days. I have to put on my sensible head which has taken precedence over random acts of kindness. You will probably have to use an organisation or Fedex I'm afraid. Bon chance. Swissie
I'm afraid this is a very sensible answer, especially as you are a new poster here. Hope you find a way.
