woolybanana
Yes, bad news indeed. They will probably move production to eastern Europe or somewhere else.It is not as if camping cars have not been selling.
Sunday Driver
Yes, I've been watching this saga develop for some time now. Another enterprise hanging on by a thread with the potential impact on local employment and economy. A similar situation is happening near us at Heuliez in Cerizay.....[:(]

Chancer
Quillan
Funny enough I read that bit and thought WHAT ?Mind you they are not unique in this attitude. I remember many years ago when Bradbury and Wilkinson (they printed bank notes for other countries) closed their factory in New Malden. The workers came out on strike would you believe. They demanded massive redundancy payments etc, etc. One day they noticed there were a load of bulldozers being delivered so somebody asked what was going on only to be told the site belonged to Tesco's and they were knocking it down to build a new supermarket. The workers ended up with nothing. What was left of the company, namely its security ink technology was sold to De La Rue.
Bugsy
Looks like a management buyout is being tried, but with a huge reduction in staff, 30/190..
