MrCanary
Since I got my Alis Doofer, I am yet to have a trouble-free trip using it...It always seems to fail at at least one barrier - but not the same one all the time.Is this relatively common, or have I got a dodgy Doofer? AnOther
Are you sure you have it located properly. Some cars have heaters or built in radio antennas in the windscreens both of which can interfere with efficient operation.Try just waving it out of the window. andyh4
If your screen has a dark hatched area around the edge and particularly near the mirror, then you need to put the doofer in the area near the mirror - or wave it out the window as Ernie suggests
Stan Streason
mine has failed once out of about 100 barriers
Mr Coeur de Lion
Upon googling to find out what a Alis Doofer is, I discover that this thread is number one in the search engine for the key phrase Alis Doofer.Congratulations.But what is it? NickP
Mr C d L, It's gizmo that you put in your windscreen of the car, it has a barcode that the "reader" built into the pay station on the motorway can read and charge your payage fee dirctly to your bank account. Saves you sitting behind the holiday makers counting out their centimes, as there are specified lanes for "doofer" users marked with a large T.
