Evianers
The crown Princess of Sweden married today, and what did we see on the BBC news? Sport, sport and yet more sport, with absolutely no mention of the nuptials. There are those [millions] amongst us who are not remotely interested in any form of sport [surprise, surprise] and are already sick to death of non-stop world cup football. Now Wimbledon starts on Monday!Shame on you BBC news = let's have something different..... pleeeeeeeeeeeease

Pickles
According to MidiLibre, there is an interesting twist to this story. AP, AFP and Reuters have refused to cover the wedding in text, photo or video because Swedish TV wanted what they (AP, AFP & Reuters) felt was an exorbitant sum for access to the TV pictures.RegardsPickles

Iceni
The moral of this tale is - if you are a nobody don't get married during the football world cup.John

DerekJ
My interest in the Swedish royal family is about the same as my interest in the World Cup. ZERO
Gardian
Breaking News. The BBC has decided to drop all coverage of Wimbledon in favour of wall-to-wall World Cup live matches, repeats and Wayne Rooney interviews.Security staff at Wimbledon have also been told to keep a sharp eye open for a pensioner who masquerades as a singer, particularly on days when rain has stopped play.Ladbrokes are offering odds of even money against some plonker blowing one of those bloody footie horns within the first hour on Centre Court tomorrow. (I reckon that's a racing certainty!) It's 5-1 on that if that happens, the crowd will roundly boo the individual as he / she is ejected.
