Gardengirl
I had to resort to sleeping tablets; a bit hit and miss though, even with them. Last night it was a hit;woke up about 05.30 French time, which is heading towards 6 hours. With them I have energy in the day, instead of having an aching head and eyes which feel as though they need a sling! Not a solution though, and my GP says it's the last prescription of these I can have. The other two types I tried didn't work.In this heat, I doubt I would sleep naturally at all. As I write (06.30) my weather station says it's 22.8 outside (lower than the last few mornings), and 25.4 inside. That's despite all the doors and window being open!Hope all the other 'members' of the club are doing OK. No smilies available!!

mint
If I weren't still househunting, I guess I would have been cured. As it is..............the stress alone is a nightmare.

Gardengirl
This thread sent me back to look at the insomniacs club thread. I wandered here and there through it, and it made me feel a bit nostalgic, with everyone supporting one another. It was started in October by Milkeybar kid, and stopped in January. Maybe we ought to revive it!
AnOther
I think you'll find that you are mistaken in the originator of the insomniacs club, the clue is in the title [;-)]http://www.completefrance.com/cs/forums/64/1971041/ShowPost.aspx#1971041I think a lot of posts prior to this got lost by a software glitch. Gardengirl
AnOther, so sorry for putting the incorrect originator! And you're right about the title of course. As you say, some posts are missing and I just read the first one shown. Blame it on lack of sleep or brain cells! Antway, it made good reading, when I dipped in and out of the thread.Hi to all ex-insomniacs club members; sleep well! The smilies made a brief reappearance, and have gone again! :o)

Gardengirl
Sadly not, Teapot; I was posting on Richard's car hire thread at about 04.30. I tried a night without sleeping tablets, took euphy-whatsits, and was still sodukoing way past midnight. I think it was a 90 minute sleep! :o)
Théière
I nearly got up to see who was around, my normal comatose (during sleep time [;-)]) state has been all messed up by my medication
Gardengirl
Teapot, if you're there and not comatose now, have you got smiley icons on your screen? (Or anyone else who's not comatose, or even if you are!). My smilies reappeared briefly after disappearing, but they've gone again! :o)
Frenchie
I slept better for a while, now, worrying for one thing or another , in the process of car hunting, I wake up every 1 or 2 hours..But I sleep downstairs these days, at it is hot upstairs, so if I want to reach the computer I have to climb the stairs to get to the mezzanine and the stairs are creaking and the dogs follow me, so I 'm afraid of waking up my son in his beauty sleep.. [:)]I stay downstairs and think of you all ![blink]
Weedon
If you can't sleep you might as well have a laugh. What do you get if you cross an insomniac, an agnostic and a dyslexic? Someone who stays up all night wondering if there really is a dog. Night![:D]
