French Radio London

This new radio station began broadcasting at midday today. It hopes for an audience among the 400,000 French people living in London.

I wonder if we can look forward to something similar in France.

Note that it has to broadcast from Monaco to get round French government restrictions on non-French language media. England is rather more tolerant of the needs of foreigners.

There are loads of French radio stations in France. [:P] It's just a shame that there are no English language ones, not just for the Brits but for other nationalities who's second (or even first) language is English (with the exclusion of the French), I mean there are loads of these type of radio stations in Spain. [6]

Thank you for your suggestion Norman. It is no use to me while I am in France though. My internet connection simply wouldn't carry it. While I'm in the UK I tend to read Sud-Ouest on line for my French local news.

I was genuinely wondering if France might follow suit.
