Good ideas

I think I have had a good idea. So, what do I do about it? I am now stuck.

What I need to know now is whether it really is my idea and I haven't just remembered something I have seen elsewhere.  OR 'I' 'me' has had a  good idea that could perhaps make me some money. And if I have had a 'moment', I don't want anyone nicking it.

So has anyone a good idea as to what I do next without me telling you 'my' good idea?

Google it - do some research.

Write the idea down and send it to yourself by registered pst and do not open it. You can then prove when you had the idea.

My father has hundreds of patents but gave up registering them as to do so you give away a lot of information.

It is then easy to slightly alter the concept and copy whatever it is. It can be better to keep secret the exact nature of what you have and how it is made, the construct and materials used.

Sometimes it is better to just hit the market and if you do it right and have a good product people will use your product.

You can tell me your secret....

idun, you could apply to go on Dragons' Den but then you'd have to explain your good idea.

LOL I may not be stuck for words on here, or with friends and generally nattering to folks. BUT, speaking on tv, don't think I could do that. I have had to address rooms full of people in the past and I could be physically sick, mouth feels like it is full of sand too. I've managed, but only just.

I'd the one who just made 'croaky' sounds as nothing else would come out, then I'd either start laughing  uncontrolably or run out, probably the former knowing me.
