Bugsy
We've started to receive really offensive (language) emails from various .......@ orange.fr email addresses.Do Orange have a system where these emails can be forwarded onto them for attention.?. Quillan
You need to check the header because they may not actually come from Orange but just have an Orange return adress. If they are from an Orange user then FORWARD them on to abuse@orange.fr
Bugsy
Just tried that Q and they have all been returned as undeliverable..

NormanH
Sometimes people can 'pirate' an email address. When I was with wanadoo (the old name for Orange) I received spam....from my own email address, and I know I didn't send it....
Chancer
Just a thought Bugsy, were they in French?

Sometimes its just an IP address but you can trace that via Spamcop and other resources then send the email to them.
Bugsy
All this latest batch come from "latinloveline.com" so I have now setup a 'rule' within preferences to bounce them back.Norman: these emails all came from pirated @orange.fr addresses. All different as well.
NormanH
Obviously we as 'men of the world' can laugh this sort of thing off, but I was a member of an association which had some rather respectable French ladies in it, and when they received invitations to debauch from my email it was difficult to explain to them, as they were even less technologically aware than I am.You have my sympathy. With the added benefit that you don't lose it when you change service providers.Sue
Albert the InfoGipsy
Very true. I have 2 personal domains. One of them is on its third service provider and the other on its sixth. The French one allows me to have a nice simple address of fred@fbloggs.fr (name changed to protect my privacy). Funnily enough it takes a bit of effort to convince people that there should not be an orange, sfr, neuf or whatever somewhere in there.
