So still free thought and opinion, just not a right to express that opinion.

Muzzling a dangerous dog does not improve its behaviour. But it does protect those around it.

I did actually in a metaphorical sense include expression as a complement of dual synergy.

I presume that your implication that I am a dog is itself a metaphor reflecting the stored wisdom inside my skull rather than my appearance.

I note in flyer arrived this morning that the ETAT-UMP are having an electoral meeting at 20:00 tomorrow thursday in the village hall.

I'll tell you about it on friday, woof woof, wag tail, malcolm.

Isn't it better to know who thinks what they think?

If you can't express your opinion no-one knows what it is and so nobody can ever discuss it with you.

Taking things to extreme one could say that any madman can believe what he likes as long as he doesn't tell anyone.

How could he be diagnosed and treated in that case?

My apologies PPP

There was nothing in my post that was supposed to imply that I thought you as a dog, although I can now see that it could be taken as such.

It was meant to suggest why on some ocasions a restriction on free expression might be important.  FWIW I am less than convinced about the Armenian case - not because I do not believe that there was genocide, but because I think that it is pure political posturing as a vote winner from some 500000+ Armenians living in France with French nationality and French presidential votes.

No offence taken...just needling with intent.[;-)]

The Armenians can deliver the sarko vote in the Marseille area as they are highly concentrated in that area.

The turks in france are actually more numerous with about 550,000, but they are spread  around more and so not so useful to a "morally corrupt" candidat-president.

Personally I would trust a didikoi more than an armenian; oh and I like turks. Nice honest people, never let you down.

Cheers, malcolm.
