netty taft Posted August 28, 2006 Share Posted August 28, 2006 Can anyone help us? We have been doing some renovation work on our house and need to obtain some old oak floorboards. We live near Poitiers but are happy to travel further afield to get what we need. We have only been living in France for 7 months and are still learning our way around! Does anyone know where we can find some floorboards? Are there any reclamation yards, or similar, in France. jsb Posted August 28, 2006 Share Posted August 28, 2006 We live in the alps and there are loads of places which sell reclaimed wood as it's chalet country. However, we can also order it at our local Point P. Whether this is just because of the area, I don't know, but it's worth asking. You could also try asking at your local builders yard or wood yard.
