Bloodnok
As a life-long shooter and collector of firearms, can anyone give me information on moving my collection permanently to France. I have made contact with the shooting Club in the nearby town, and they will be able to take me (and my wife!) as Members. However, whilst they can tell me what a Frenchman has to do to join the Club, they have no previous experience of an very experienced (some 50 years, and currently a shooting Club secretary) foreigner wanting to bring his own kit over. Any information gratefully received.

bixy
I think you will need both an export licence from the UK and import licence for France. To use your equipment in France you will need a permis de chasse - even if you don't do any chassing! To take your guns over on a temporary basis you will need a European Firearms Passport, obtainable from the police in the UK.Patrick
chris pp
You say "collection" of guns, but you don't say what they are. The regulations and legalities are very different from one type of weapon to another, shotguns are no problem, but hand guns are a completely different matter.More info required!Chris
