Pickles
According to Autocar, PSA - the group that controls Peugeot and Citroen - is running out of money and may need to sell out to minority shareholder GM!Another one for the Qataris perhaps? YCCMB
One of my clients has already bought a largeish company owned by PSA. I think it's fair to say they're looking behind the sofa for change.
Pickles
Well, half a billion pounds of state aid has been approved for PSA, so that's all right then ...
Val_2
If they made REASONABLY priced vehicles then they would not be in financial trouble. Their new car prices are a joke when you can buy better made vehicles elsewhere at lower prices, I know because I did that last year and my son's girlfriend just brought a brand new car after rejecting both Citroen and Peugeot on costs. Perhaps they will now get even longer holidays and lower working hours than they have already ...They could not obtain and fix a broken door handle on my C5 in less than 7 days and that was a main dealer thanks to a religious one day bank holiday . I will never touch another Citroen ... Diesel engine was OK but too many electrical faults put it in garages for repair.

Bought brand new (which I'll never do again), and had nothing but trouble with it from day one to the day I traded it back into them. Pile of crap it was.Seem to remember Obama bailing out GM a few years ago. Meanwhile Detroit has gone bankrupt...
Val_2
We would never touch Citroen again after three vehicles here in France, two of them were no problems but the newest C4 has been a nightmare due to all the electronic gadgets going wrong and then they quoted over €800 to have a simple tow bar fitted and the excuse was that the electrics had to all be reset. Had to bring a friend's 406 estate home from the hospital when he could not drive, we could not get it off the pavement because it sat so low on the ground and eventually had to scrape it off but did not tell him; ridiculous design!
