Boots - delivery to France

To everyone who loves, and misses Boots - please read this.

Today I logged onto the Boots website just to check on an item - and I got a pop-up screen indicating that Boots will soon be delivering outside the UK - including to France.

According to the web-site it will 'be soon' - you are asked to sign-up and Boots will then advise when this service is on-line.

So if any of you are interested - and would like to sign-up to encourage Boots to 'march swiftly' on with this - don't hesitate.

And no - I have nothing at all to do with Boots;  just a customer who, on every visit to the UK, stocks up with bits and bobs I love and can't get out here.

I used to miss Boots.

I used to miss Boots and M&S and WH Smiths.

I avoid all three now. Maybe it was because I never used to go back to the UK that often, but everytime I went back, all three gave me worse and worse service over the years and the quality of goods, especially in M&S had just gone down so much, that I shop there very rarely.

Boots and M&S shot themselves in the foot when they had queues a mile long and hardly anyone taking money, lots of spare tills and all unmanned. That is taking the michael, especially at their inflated prices. And Smiths, well, I wanted a nice quality fountain pen, just before xmas, and they didn't have other than those that kids have for school. How can a stationery shop not have a decent fountain pen?

I will not grieve if all three shut their doors.

I get by very nicely indeed without all three and just cannot imagine what anyone would want sending to France from Boots. As french pharmacies have part of the market sewn up, won't they be rather limited in what they can export to France??? And there are lots of parapharmacies in France now run by the main supermarkets, so a lot of the sort of stuff that Boots sell, is available at a cheaper price than the pharmacies too.
