suein56
That place is truly dreadful for everyone, whether they be prisoner or employé. How demoralising it must be to be there for whatever reason.Just who is responsible for the upkeep of police stations ?It looks as though it could do with a very major overhaul just to bring it up to half-way decent.Sue
NormanH
I believe that Gendarmaries which are usually in much better shape are kept up by the gendarmes themselves, whereas Commissariats which are run by the Police Nationale use private workers.Who pays I don't know. nomoss
Those pictures remind me of police stations we went to in France and Algeria in the 1960's - probably Bureaux rather than Commisariats, in scruffy converted houses. I would have thought they would have improved by now.
