Will you watch tonight?

Tuesday night sees the annual (pre recorded) address by the President to the country, will anyone watch?

Going through the French papers today it would seem that many will be turning off their TVs and doing something else. Looking at right, centre and left newspapers the readers comments seem much the same, its time to go M. Holland and the quicker the better for many.

So now he has his law finally passed so he can tax the rich and football clubs 75% tax. In reality is will be the football clubs as most rich have already 'escaped'. Meanwhile TVA increases by half a percent so it seems football clubs (many of which it seems may go bust) will be coughing up but the biggest income will be from the ordinary working class, retired, long term ill and vulnerable in society via the rise in TVA. Does not seem to be very 'socialist' to me.

Meanwhile M. Holland is on a 'jolly' to the French speaking Arab states where he will attend lavish banquettes most nights of his stay till 12th Jan.
