Lisa
As you will gather I know nothing about building permission etc so I'd welcome some info before I go any further. Our neighbours own a strip of land with a caravan on it which they used for holidays. The land is just under 1000 square metres, it has been connected with an electricity meter and there is water. To cut a long story short we are interested in buying this strip. (It was originally part of our property and was sold by the previous owners of our house around 14 years ago.) We would like to add it back onto our plot. There is a little confusion about whether this strip of land has building permission on it. Until this morning I was under the impression that there wasn't building permission. However I was informed today that if there is electricity and water on the land this entitles the owner to sell it with building permission. Is this correct? I can't believe it is. Any info welcome. Beryl
We have similar caravan plots in our village and they definitely CANNOT be built on.Check with your mayor, they have details of all the plots and what can and cannot be done with it.
