Teddy
Could someone advise or point me at a website which details the necessary process and forms to be completed in order to get married in France please?
Nick Trollope
Is there one? Probably, but I would have though that your best bet was your Mairie.
Alexis
If you are British, the British Consulate as well as the Mairie.
Alan
If you are living in France then pop along to the Mairie, they will give you a booklet and form which has to be completed along with a time schedule for blood test and paperwork etc to be returned . Alexis
I had to have a blood test. Found out I didn't have aids but it is mainly for blood compatibility in the case of any children arriving. . . at our ages!I believe marriages are on the increase here. It is complicated living in concubinage. Anyway, I get his money....
Afy
If the SO is French, then you require the following: 1. Your birth certificate in original. This will be kept by the Marie in the town you get married in. 2. A blood test, this is compulsory3. The Marie will put up a notice for 30 days, and you will need to publish it in a newspaper. There after all you need is a date with the Marie to sign the register and youre done. This is from personal experience. My advice would be to run in the opposite direction. Alexis
You ought to think about what contract de marriage you want at the same time.I believe it is easier from the day of the wedding than to change it later.
